2014 Welcome Letter from the BUC$ President
It is my privilege to welcome you to the 19th annual conference of Texas BUC$! Texas BUC$ provides student business office administrators and staff a forum to network with colleagues in order to gain knowledge and to discover innovative solutions to issues that impact our industry. Our conference this year, BUC$ by the Bayou in Houston, is packed full of informative sessions and opportunities to network with colleagues.
I would like to thank the members of the Board for their commitment to Texas BUC$, who without their time and hard work this conference would not be a success. Ms. Pat Woods, the founder of Texas BUC$, continues to provide her expertise and mentoring skills to all of us. Thanks Pat for your tireless work on behalf of Texas BUC$! Ms. Deveron Ellison, who manages the online registration system, keeps board members up to date on registration statistics and assists with conference planning. Ms. Jan Phillips keeps us organized and is always willing to take on any job. Ms. Christine Blakney brings a lot of new ideas to the table this year. She is fantastic in working with presenters and completing tasks.
I would also like to thank our exhibitor representatives, Mr. John Rhine, Mr. Derrick Shy and Victoria Pirrung for doing an outstanding job assisting the Board this year. They brought a new perspective and many fresh ideas to improve the conference. I would like to thank Mr. Don Moorman for his support of Texas BUC$. He is our technical advisor and he takes care of the exhibitor display and the shirts. Thank you for lending your skills and expertise to Texas BUC$! Also, I want to thank Trysta Horton from my office for coordinating the Ambassadors. Thanks to you both and all of the Texas BUC$ Ambassadors!
Last, and certainly not least, I want to acknowledge our Platinum and Silver Exhibitors. Texas BUC$ would not be as successful today if it were not for your financial assistance and support. We are very fortunate to have your involvement in our organization!
We are glad to bring you” BUC$ by the Bayou.” We have an exceptional general session with Jerry Magar. He will give us great information about “dealing with colleagues and other key constituents.” We are looking forward to another excellent conference.
