Texas BUC$

The Southern Regional was held in San Antonio on April 2 and 3 on the beautiful Trinity University campus. Judy Schwab and her team made it easy to find the meeting spot with colorful Texas BUC$ direction signs all along the walk way. There were about 19 attendees from 7 institutions along with 7 of our Platinum exhibitors. Lots of great topics were discussed including veteran’s benefits, return of Title IV aid and the growing debt, Texas Guaranteed Promise fund, red flag rules, and collections. We had an excellent regional meeting in Lubbock March 5-6 hosted by Texas Tech University! Our friends at Texas Tech University pulled out all the stops to make this a great event. Thank you to Christine Blakney and her staff for the wonderful accommodations, super food, and yes you are reading this correctly….shuttle service from the parking garage to the building. WOW!!! During the 2011 annual conference, Andy Startz of Texas A&M University-Health Science Center was the sole nominee for the office of Vice President and accepted the position unopposed. Kathy Woods of Texas Women's University was the sole nominee for the position of Treasurer and also accepted that position.  read more »

A big thank you to everyone who got up this morning for the BUC$ for Cure. The tallies for monies collected will be available soon. A big thanks to ICR for their generous $500 donation.

Registration is now open on the lower level in the room known as reflections. We welcome you to pick up your conference badge and welcome bag before dinner. Dinner will be at 6. The Rangers are taking the night off due to the rain but you can still join us for Game night after dinner.
