Great Info, Good Food, and Good Fellowship!

We had another great Regional meeting in The Woodlands last week hosted by Lone Star College! I wanted to say Thank You to Diane Novak and Leticia Batiste for the wonderful accommodations. We had 20 attendees and 6 Platinum Exhibitors. On the last day everyone shared with the group something new they learned and we had full participation so it’s good to know that everyone came away with new things to take back. A great session was presented by Matthew Boyden, U S Postal Inspector, Thanks to everyone who helped make this a very successful meeting!  read more »

Texas BUC$ for the Cure

Greetings Friends!!

Can you believe it? It is almost 10-10-10; time for Sandollar$ and BUC$.

I wanted to reach out to each of you regarding BUC$ for the Cure. Two years ago Sharron Westbrook, from LeTourneau University, suggested that we become part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. We were thrilled and motivated with her suggestion.

Texas BUC$ for the Cure walk

Wednesday morning, Oct. 14th was a beautiful morning in Corpus Christi, Texas. There were approximately eighty participants in our first, Texas BUC$ for the Cure walk. It was a very exciting moment for many of us and I feel especially so for myself as I am a breast cancer survivor. In the end we donated $1679.00 to Susan G. Komen to help in the fight against breast cancer. Texas BUC$ attendees are not only THE BEST, we are also generous with regard to charitable causes. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to each of you who donated money and/or participated in the walk!
