The Southern Regional was held in San Antonio on April 2 and 3 on the beautiful Trinity University campus. Judy Schwab and her team made it easy to find the meeting spot with colorful Texas BUC$ direction signs all along the walk way. There were about 19 attendees from 7 institutions along with 7 of our Platinum exhibitors. Lots of great topics were discussed including veteran’s benefits, return of Title IV aid and the growing debt, Texas Guaranteed Promise fund, red flag rules, and collections. The University of the Incarnate Word hosted the third Texas BUCS regional meeting in San Antonio on April 19-20. In spite of inclement weather, the city was in a festive spirit as the annual Fiesta celebration began. Nora Cadena from UIW was instrumental in preparing for the meeting which was attended by 34 student business representatives from institutions across the state. There was a lot of compelling dialogue that focused on many topics related to student business services.  read more »
