Presenters: Mary J. Roby, UNT and Christina Holzheuser, Texas A&M Corpus Christi
Mary Roby has worked at the University of North Texas since January of 1993 and is currently the Veterans Benefits and Sponsored Programs Coordinator for the Student Accounting Office. Veteran’s issues hit close to home for Mary since she currently has 11 veterans and three active service members in her immediate family. Mary works daily with the Chapter 33, Hazlewood and Sponsored student accounts to ensure that all benefits have been posted appropriately and that all state and federal regulations have been met. She is a member of UNT’s “Collegiate Success for Troop’s and their families” workgroup and takes pride in knowing that UNT was named one of GI JOBS magazines top educational institutions of 2010.
Christina Holzheuser grew up in the small town of Marfa Texas. Christina currently works as Bursar for Texas A & M University Corpus Christi. She has worked there for about 9 ½ years. During her years at TAMUCC she was the functional lead for the implementation for Banner AR and Touchnet Bill/Payment Suite and Cashiering. She is also currently serving on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Enrollment Services Efficiency Committee and TASSCUBO’s Student Business Services Committee. Prior to her current position she worked at Sul Ross State University for 7 years as Head Cashier. While there, she also worked as lead for the Billings/ Receivable implementation of SIS Plus in 1996. Christina holds a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Sul Ross State University. Although Christina truly enjoys her work, she also enjoys having a good time. Her favorite pastimes are playing tennis, volleyball and visiting with friends.
